Use Heavy

Run a larger, multi-step piece of work from a clear brief to a reviewable result.

Last updated

Heavy is MMARW's workspace for larger professional tasks. It is designed for work that needs more than one answer: research, structured analysis, long-form writing, detailed reviews, and complete project plans.

What Heavy does

Heavy works from your brief, coordinates the necessary work, and presents a result you can inspect. Larger tasks can take several minutes. You remain responsible for reviewing the completed work before using it.

Create a Heavy project

  1. Open Heavy in the sidebar.
  2. Select New Heavy Project.
  3. Describe the result you need in the project message field.
  4. Attach relevant files if you have them.
  5. Send the brief and follow the progress in the project.

Heavy projects are kept in the Heavy list. You can rename, sort, or delete a project there.

Write a useful Heavy brief

A good Heavy brief explains the final outcome, not just a broad topic. Include the purpose, audience, available material, and expected format.

IncludeExample
Outcome“Create a competitor analysis we can use in a planning meeting.”
Audience“It is for a non-technical leadership team.”
Scope“Compare five companies in Germany and the UK; exclude companies without public pricing.”
Format“Use an executive summary, comparison table, risks, and next steps.”
Example: research report / prompt
Research the current market for employee scheduling software for retail teams.

Create a structured report for a leadership meeting. Cover the customer problem, five relevant providers, feature differences, pricing information where publicly available, implementation risks, and a recommendation for next steps.

Use current public sources and identify claims that require direct vendor confirmation.

Add source material

Use the attachment control to upload or select files for a Heavy message. You can add up to 10 files to one Heavy message. Tell Heavy how each file should be used.

Example: review supplied material / prompt
Use the attached customer interviews and product brief.

Identify the five recurring customer problems, separate evidence from assumptions, and create a prioritised product opportunity list with reasons for each priority.

Follow the work

Heavy shows the work as it progresses. You may see specialist steps, research activity, and intermediate output before the completed result is ready.

While reviewing, look for:

  • the scope MMARW understood from your brief;
  • assumptions that need your confirmation;
  • sources or data points that need checking;
  • missing context that only you can provide;
  • whether the final format is ready for its intended audience.

Improve a Heavy result

You do not need to create a new project for every revision. Continue in the same project and state the exact change you want.

Example: improve the finished work / prompt
Continue from the completed report.

Make the executive summary shorter, add a table comparing the top three options, and make the recommendation conditional on a budget below €50,000 per year.

When to use Heavy

Heavy is particularly useful for:

  • a research brief or market analysis;
  • a complete business, project, or implementation plan;
  • a detailed document review with risks and open questions;
  • a long report built from several files or sources;
  • an analysis that needs competing viewpoints, caveats, and recommendations.

For a quick question, small rewrite, or iterative brainstorm, Direct will usually be faster and more efficient.

If Heavy pauses or stops

First, stay in the same project. Stop the generation if it is still running, then write Continue to resume from the last point. If you need a different direction, explain the change clearly instead of starting again.

If the same problem keeps happening, use Report a Bug from the top-right area of the app. Include what you asked Heavy to do, what you expected, and what happened instead.
