Direct is MMARW's focused AI chat. Use it when you want to think, write, analyse, or make progress quickly while staying in the conversation yourself.

Use Direct for focused work

Direct is ideal when you want an answer or a sequence of small revisions. For a substantial deliverable that needs coordinated research and multiple stages, use Heavy instead.

Create a Direct chat

1. Open Direct in the sidebar.
2. Select New Direct Chat.
3. Give the chat a useful name if you want to find it easily later.
4. Write your request and send it.

Your chats remain available in Direct. You can rename, sort, or delete them from the chat list.

Keep the main message, remove jargon, and end with one specific next step.

Continue the conversation

Direct works best as an ongoing exchange. After a response, you can ask MMARW to:

• make the answer shorter, clearer, or more detailed;
• change the tone for a specific audience;
• turn the answer into a table, checklist, or draft;
• challenge an assumption or compare alternatives;
• continue from the last point.

Turn this into a short decision memo for a manager.

Include the recommendation, its three strongest reasons, the main risk, and one action for this week.

Attach files

Use the attachment control beside the message field to upload a file or choose a file already in MMARW. Then tell Direct what to do with it.

Direct can work with supported PDFs, images, plain text, and Markdown files. Be explicit about the task; attaching a file alone does not explain the outcome you need.

Review the attached report. Give me a five-bullet executive summary, identify the two most important risks, and list any figures I should verify before presenting this.

Choose a model

The model selector lets you choose how Direct approaches a request.

• Auto is the recommended default. MMARW selects a suitable model based on the task, required depth, and attached material.
• Choose a specific model when you have a clear preference for speed, cost, writing quality, coding, or document analysis.
• The model menu explains what each available option is best for.

Higher-capability models can use more monthly capacity. If the task is routine, start with Auto or an efficient model. Use a more capable model when accuracy, nuance, long context, or difficult reasoning matters.

Use web search when current information matters

Open the tools control in the Direct message field and enable Web Search when you need current public information. Web Search is available with Auto and compatible GPT-5.6 or Gemini models.

Use web search to compare the current public pricing and main collaboration features of Notion, Asana, and Monday.com.

State the date of the comparison, link the important sources, and flag anything that needs confirmation with a sales representative.

Important Notice

Web results still need verification

Search can surface outdated, incomplete, or unreliable pages. Check primary sources for important facts, especially prices, legal requirements, product terms, medical information, and financial information.

Stop and continue a response

If a response is taking too long or is going in the wrong direction, use the stop control. You can then change the instruction and send it again.

If a response stopped before it was complete, write Continue in the same chat. Direct will use the conversation context and continue from the last useful point.
